Senior Legal Counsel EMEA

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to become the first legal counsel for a leading international industrial technology group in Germany. Reporting to the Regional General Counsel EMEA, you will advise senior stakeholders across the EMEA region while acting as the principal legal advisor for the German business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial legal advice on complex contracts and strategic initiatives across EMEA.
• Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Support the business on disputes, claims and litigation.
• Advise on competition law, compliance, employment matters, corporate governance, real estate, HSE and other operational issues.
• Serve as trusted legal advisor to Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance and HR.
• Instruct and manage external counsel when required.
• Identify legal risks and deliver commercially practical solutions.
• Contribute to the development of the regional legal function and cross‑border projects.

Required profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist/in) with 8‑10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Significant in‑house experience in an international organisation.
• Strong background in commercial contracting and negotiation.
• Experience advising on German employment law, including works council matters.
• Excellent business judgement and a pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach.
• Fluency in German and English.
