Senior Legal Counsel – Employment Law (France)

About the role

Vinted is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Global Employment Legal Team. The role focuses on French employment law and EU frameworks, acting as a strategic partner to People, Finance and business units across a fast‑growing, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on complex, high‑risk employment matters, with deep expertise in French law and EU regulations.
• Independently manage employment litigation and high‑risk disputes, define strategy, oversee external counsel and lead settlement discussions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with labour authorities, handling investigations and sensitive matters.
• Lead cross‑functional projects such as restructurings, works council negotiations and policy design.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts, agreements and internal policies.
• Advise on multi‑jurisdictional employment issues and identify systemic risks, proposing improvements to processes and policies.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a senior counsel or lawyer specializing in French employment law.
• Strong knowledge of EU employment frameworks and cross‑border employment issues.
• Proven ability to manage high‑risk litigation and lead complex projects end‑to‑end.
• Excellent judgment, autonomy and the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
