Senior M&A Analyst – Technology/IT Services

About the role

We are seeking a Senior M&A Analyst to join a fast‑growing, well‑capitalised buy‑and‑build platform focused on IT managed services and cloud businesses. Based in Düsseldorf, you will help shape the German and broader DACH expansion strategy while gaining exposure to high‑profile acquisitions in a private‑equity‑style environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across the full lifecycle, from origination to completion.
• Assess acquisition targets by analysing financial performance, commercial positioning and value‑creation opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses and investment cases.
• Prepare transaction materials such as investment memoranda, presentations and due‑diligence documentation.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Engage directly with founders and management teams to evaluate business models and strategic fit.
• Develop and maintain relationships with advisors, intermediaries and industry experts to support deal sourcing.
• Contribute to the development and management of a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
• Support transaction negotiations and execution processes.
• Foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing within the DACH M&A function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field with strong academic performance.
• Experience in M&A, investment banking, Big‑4 transaction services, private equity or corporate finance.
• Proven experience supporting or executing end‑to‑end transactions is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, including building models from scratch.
• Solid accounting knowledge with experience analysing financial statements under German GAAP.
