Senior Mechanical Designer – 10+ Years Experience (German required)

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to work onsite in Böblingen, Baden‑Württemberg, Germany. German language proficiency is mandatory and the role requires at least 10 years of experience, particularly in medical device and plastic component design. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs using Creo Elements/Direct.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D models of electro‑mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials for complex products.
• Design plastic parts, including large components such as monitor bezels.
• Apply system‑integration thinking to ensure designs meet overall product requirements.
• Implement GD&T and tolerance stack analysis throughout the design process.
• Perform or support mechanical FEA simulations when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience.
• Fluent in German (both spoken and written).
• Proven experience in the medical device and plastics sectors.
• Strong understanding of product development from concept to production.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Creo Elements/Direct (3D/2D modeling, BOM creation).
• Electro‑mechanical product design expertise.
• Plastic part design, especially large‑format components.
• GD&T and tolerance stack analysis.
• Knowledge of mechanical FEA simulation (preferred).
