Senior Product Manager – Core Banking Platform

About the role

Avarda Group is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the agenda for its Core Banking Platform portfolio. You will shape the roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure the platform meets business, operational, and regulatory requirements across multiple European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and backlog for the Core Banking domain, covering both internally developed and licensed platforms.
• Prioritise and sequence delivery together with IT and engineering teams.
• Define product logic for customer accounts, product configuration, interest calculation, fees, billing cycles, repayment hierarchies and lifecycle events.
• Drive evolution of capabilities across lending, cards, deposits and payments.
• Coordinate integration with payment rails, card‑processing teams and external partners.
• Shape an “orchestrate, not rip‑and‑replace” strategy for platform migration and capability exposure.
• Translate business, regulatory and operational requirements into testable product specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
• Act as the product counterpart to platform vendors, handling scope definition, acceptance testing and release sign‑off.
• Partner with operations, finance, compliance, risk and engineering to keep platforms scalable and compliant.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of core banking processes, including account management, product setup, interest and fee handling, billing and repayment.
• Experience with consumer lending, credit‑card, deposit or transactional banking platforms.
• Working knowledge of payments and card processing, especially SEPA payments, settlements and reconciliations.
• Ability to write precise, testable requirements and follow them through delivery.
• Experience with platform migrations, modernisation programmes or system consolidation initiatives.
