Senior Project Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Development Manager to lead onshore wind projects in Germany. The role sits at the centre of our client’s expansion in the German market, taking projects from early‑stage origination through to construction‑ready status while working closely with the Head of Development and the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and originate new onshore wind sites across Germany.
• Manage the full development lifecycle, including site selection, land acquisition, permitting and grid connection.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities and local authorities.
• Drive projects through zoning, environmental assessments and grid studies.
• Coordinate with internal legal, technical and grid teams to keep timelines on track.
• Contribute to the growth of the company’s wind development pipeline in Germany.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project development, preferably on onshore wind (BESS or data‑centre experience also considered).
• Deep understanding of the German renewable‑energy market, including planning, permitting and land‑acquisition processes.
• Fluent in German (written and spoken).
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and take initiative.
• Curious and willing to engage beyond a narrow job description.

Required skills

• Project development for onshore wind projects.
• Knowledge of German permitting, zoning and grid‑connection procedures.
• Experience with land acquisition and stakeholder management.

What we offer

• Base salary €75,000 – €120,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Performance bonus of 10 %– 15 %.
