Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (BESS/PV)

About the role

OXBO, in partnership with a leading European independent power producer, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and photovoltaic (PV) projects across Germany. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from site establishment to final hand‑over, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction of BESS and PV plants, guaranteeing compliance with approved designs.
• Monitor progress, manage engineering revisions, and control budgets and cash flows.
• Coordinate grid‑connection, permitting, and regulatory compliance with utilities.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality implementation of works.
• Manage logistics of supplied materials and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
• Prepare and issue periodic project reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in the renewable‑energy sector.
• Electrical licensing related to Solar, BESS, or HV substations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, permitting procedures, and PV/BESS regulations.
• Fluent in German (native) and English.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Germany and occasional meetings in Milan.
