Senior Project Manager – Utility‑Scale Solar PV & Hybrid BESS

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Senior Project Manager to lead utility‑scale Solar PV and hybrid Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Germany and Poland. The role is based in Frankfurt with a hybrid work model, requiring three days on‑site and two days remote each week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational control over a 1.2 GW project pipeline.
• Coordinate civil, mechanical and electrical workstreams, ensuring alignment with design, project plans and client requirements.
• Manage subcontractors to guarantee safe, compliant and timely installation of all components and infrastructure.
• Negotiate Grid FCA agreements and ensure all works meet HSE standards, project specifications and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on utility‑scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong organisational and financial management skills.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to resolve subcontractor issues.
• Legal right to work in the EU.
