Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Backbone Core (BCO)

About the role

SCAYLE is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead the QA strategy for its Backbone Core (BCO) platform. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that complex backend features meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and automation frameworks for multi‑system features.
• Analyze product requirements and technical specifications to uncover edge cases, deep business logic scenarios, and potential bottlenecks before development.
• Act as a strategic bridge between Product Management and Engineering, aligning testing with client expectations and internal processes.
• Lead testing for high‑volume data ingestion, transformation, and distribution pipelines, including regression and contract testing.
• Mentor team members on QA best practices and continuously improve testing methodologies and CI/CD integration.

Required profile

• 6+ years of QA and test‑automation experience with a strong focus on complex REST backend applications.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a proactive, shift‑left testing mindset.
• Proven ability to drive agile quality processes and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and contract testing.
• Experience with schema validation, regression testing, and ensuring backward compatibility.
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and Newman.
• Automation framework experience in Python, Java or Node.js.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, background jobs, asynchronous workflows, and high‑throughput data sync pipelines.
