Senior Site Manager – Waste-to-Energy Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead on‑site construction activities for a flagship Waste‑to‑Energy (EfW) project in Germany. This 24‑month contract role will oversee the full lifecycle from construction through commissioning and handover, ensuring the project meets programme, budget, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all on‑site construction activities across multiple disciplines.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors and site supervision teams.
• Coordinate daily construction activities, logistics and site access.
• Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions.
• Drive a strong HSE culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Interface with clients, stakeholders and project leadership.
• Support mechanical completion, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Senior Site Manager, Construction Manager or equivalent on large industrial EPC projects.
• Proven track record delivering Waste‑to‑Energy, power generation, CHP, petrochemical or similar heavy‑industrial projects.
• Strong leadership and contractor‑management capabilities.
• Experience on multi‑million‑euro infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage large multidisciplinary site teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• European project experience is highly desirable; German language skills are a plus.
