Senior Software Architect – Distributed Systems

About the role

In order to take our Engineering and Training Simulators to the next level, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a passionate Senior Software Architect. You will design and implement a modular, distributed infrastructure framework that controls and integrates dozens of IT systems from startup through deployment to shutdown.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the architecture of distributed software and frameworks for Infrastructure & Operations.
• Create and ensure excellent testability of the solutions.
• Coordinate closely with other software teams.
• Create tools for improving development processes, such as code generators.
• Perform integration and acceptance testing.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience.
• Extensive experience in software architecture, design and development.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems.
• Experience with IT infrastructure projects (e.g., Terraform, Nomad, Kubernetes).
• Excellent C++ skills.
• English at negotiation level.
