Service Technician – Technical Support & Repair

About the role

The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial equipment to ensure peak performance. This position combines hands‑on technical expertise with a customer‑focused mindset, providing technical guidance and support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform component‑level diagnosis and calibration.
• Update electronic firmware and software according to work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering on root‑cause analysis for warranty and field returns.
• Conduct technical troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
• Rework products as instructed and provide service estimates.
• Support product processing within the Service and Repair team.
• Work with Technical Support to document repair information.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide telephone technical support.
• Use Reichert ERP system for tracking and documentation.
• Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated and in good condition.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Advanced proficiency in German and English.
