Setting Out Engineer – Data Centre Project

About the role

SilverBack is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major data centre construction project in Munich. You will be responsible for establishing precise site control points and ensuring that all structural elements are positioned accurately according to design specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain site control points, grid lines, and benchmarks.
• Set out foundations, slabs, steelwork, services, and finishes.
• Carry out dimensional checks and as‑built surveys.
• Maintain survey records and support QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Identify and report drawing discrepancies, clashes, and site issues.
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment.
• Promote safe working practices on site.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering or surveying qualification.
• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on large‑scale construction projects.
• Data centre experience preferred.
• Available to start immediately.
