Simulation & Modelling Engineer – Airbus Defence & Space

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to design and develop simulators and simulation models for satellite systems at its Friedrichshafen site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop simulators and simulation models for satellite systems.
• Create test procedures and test plans.
• Implement and execute automatic and manual component, integration and system tests.
• Define and create software releases.
• Provide support to simulator users.

Required profile

• Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in simulation and modelling.
• Object‑oriented analysis & design using UML or similar.
• Experience developing desktop tools with a client/server architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
• Knowledge of machine‑to‑machine communication protocols.
• Strong software development process knowledge.
• Good knowledge of DevOps frameworks and utilities.
• Excellent knowledge of C++ and Java.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
