Simulation Software Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Simulation Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of high‑fidelity engineering and training simulations for next‑generation aircraft programs. Based in Manching, you will work in an international environment, collaborating closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex simulation architectures supporting aircraft development.
• Translate high‑level system and system‑of‑systems requirements into concrete architectural solutions.
• Break down architectures into work packages and define interface agreements.
• Support Chief Engineers in work‑share negotiations and lead bid processes for simulation work packages.
• Create work packages for external suppliers and assist Systems Engineers in converting architectures into detailed requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years as a Software Architect.
• Proven hands‑on experience in simulation and software architecture.
• Experience with Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) is highly valued.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
