Site Civil Engineer – Setting Out Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Site Civil Engineer to lead precise setting‑out activities for large‑scale data‑centre projects in Eastern Germany. You will join an international team that supports global hyperscalers in delivering mission‑critical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out for all civil, structural, and architectural elements.
• Establish and maintain site control networks, benchmarks, and survey records.
• Verify dimensions, coordinates, and levels against design drawings and BIM models.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure correct construction delivery.
• Produce as‑built surveys, reports, and quality documentation.
• Ensure all surveying activities meet project specifications, health‑and‑safety standards, and programme requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of setting‑out experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably data‑centres or mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, coordinate systems, and quality‑assurance procedures.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environments.

Required skills

• Operation of Total Stations.
• Use of GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Proficiency with surveying software.
• Experience with BIM models for verification.
