Site HSE Manager – Onshore Wind Farm Construction (Germany)

About the role
Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Site HSE Manager / HSE Coordinator to support large‑scale onshore wind farm construction projects across Germany. This site‑based position offers a 12‑month contract with a 3‑weeks on / 1‑week off rotation, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance during turbine installation and civil works.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all HSE activities on active onshore wind farm construction sites.
- Support WTG installation, commissioning and major component exchange while ensuring safe execution.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across project teams and contractors.
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and manage Permit‑to‑Work systems.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, safety observations and incident investigations.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and training sessions.
- Monitor compliance with local legislation, project requirements and company standards.
- Provide regular HSE reporting and performance updates to project management.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Site HSE Manager, HSE Coordinator or similar in wind energy, construction or infrastructure.
- Hands‑on experience with onshore wind farm projects, including WTG erection and installation.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety management and high‑risk activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent English (written and verbal) and willingness to work at height when required.

What we offer
- Daily rate of €625‑€650 inclusive of travel and accommodation.
- 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a 3‑weeks on / 1‑week off rotation.
