Site Manager (Bauleiter) – Nationwide Travel in Germany

About the role

The client is an international construction, engineering and architecture firm based in Dusseldorf, seeking an experienced Site Manager (Bauleiter) to oversee residential, commercial and industrial projects across Germany. The role involves frequent nationwide travel and offers a competitive salary package with accommodation, a company car and a fuel card.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all disciplines involved in complete building construction.
• Manage quality, safety, timelines and budgeting on each site.
• Prepare and execute subcontractor tenders and award contracts.
• Handle billing, verify invoices and on‑site measurements.
• Maintain project records, reports and provide client support during the defect liability phase.

Required profile

• Completed studies in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 3 years as a site manager or 5 years as a foreman/polier.
• Experience with large‑scale industrial and commercial Hochbau projects.
• Strong knowledge of VOB regulations.
• German language at C1 level and English at B1 level.
• Willingness to travel consistently across Germany.
