Site Manager – Fertilizer Operations

About the role

ICL is seeking a Site Manager for its Ludwigshafen location, responsible for overseeing both fertilizer production and service operations. The role reports directly to the Senior VP Global Operations and leads a cross‑functional team of over 100 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of site operations, ensuring safety, performance and regulatory compliance.
• Drive a strong HSE culture and manage all Health, Safety and Environment programs.
• Maintain and improve operational KPIs such as OEE.
• Define and execute CapEx and maintenance strategies to guarantee asset reliability.
• Control site costs, including fixed costs, headcount and maintenance CapEx, with disciplined financial management.
• Act as primary interface to cross‑functional business partners and represent the site to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner proactively with the Works Council and unions in collaboration with HR.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in production sites or industrial operations.
• Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration).
• Proven track record in process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and delegation frameworks.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Native‑level German and fluent English.
