Site Manager – Wind Turbine Projects

About the role

You will be responsible for the on‑site management of wind turbine construction projects from delivery through commissioning. Working closely with project management and a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule execution of each project.

Key responsibilities

• Take full on‑site responsibility for construction sites, ensuring safe, timely, and high‑quality execution from delivery to commissioning.
• Support the Project Manager in planning, site setup, scheduling, cost control, and reporting.
• Coordinate and supervise civil and electrical works, plan resources, and ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead subcontractors, service providers, installation teams, crane operators, and transport companies, providing clear instructions and ensuring smooth workflows.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and technical requirements, including risk management and proper documentation.

Required profile

• Technician or master craftsman qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, a technical vocational training, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in construction site management, preferably in wind energy or comparable large‑scale technical projects.
• Confident use of MS Office, ideally MS Project.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and basic German (minimum B1).
• Structured, assertive, solution‑oriented working style with high responsibility and strong teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel mainly within Germany and occasionally to neighboring countries, and to undertake multi‑week assignments on construction sites, including regular Saturday work.
