Site Reliability Engineer (24x7 Operational Support)

About the role

HCLTech is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Germany team and provide 24x7 operational support. The role focuses on observability, secure logging, and automation to ensure platform stability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Kubernetes clusters, Helm chart configurations and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash or Go and implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions.
• Maintain Prometheus monitoring, Thanos, and Grafana dashboards, including scrape configs, alert rules and PromQL queries.
• Configure and optimise Elasticsearch/OpenSearch clusters, Logstash pipelines and Kibana dashboards for secure log processing.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations, incident response, troubleshooting and Major Incident Management.
• Ensure compliance with security and data‑protection requirements, maintain documentation and manage access controls.

Required profile

• Strong Linux knowledge, preferably in Kubernetes environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and REST APIs.
• Experience with incident management and shift‑based 24x7 support, including weekends and holidays.
• Possession of Ü2 security clearance.
