Site Supervisor – Cable Installation

About the role

The Site Supervisor will act as the primary field authority overseeing daily power cable installation, civil works and jointing activities across multiple construction sites in Germany. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will ensure that all works are carried out safely, on schedule and in strict compliance with drawings, method statements, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Direct on‑site supervision of cable laying, excavation, backfilling and cable protection operations.
• Monitor and control the full installation sequence, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
• Oversee cable jointers, guaranteeing high‑quality workmanship and compliance with jointing procedures.
• Coordinate and manage small teams and subcontractors, maintaining clear communication between civil works contractors, cable‑laying subcontractors and specialised jointing crews.
• Identify, report and escalate any quality or technical deviations promptly.
• Provide detailed progress reports and issue logs to the Site Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising on‑shore power cable installation projects.
• Valid driving licence and eligibility to work in Germany.
• Willingness to spend extended periods on site and travel frequently between locations.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and method statements.
