Social Media Manager – Digital Communications

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Social Media Manager to join its External Communications team in the Munich area. You will help shape the digital voice of the defence, space and security divisions, supporting the CEO and senior management across corporate social channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and publish editorial content for social media, focusing on defence, space and security topics.
• Manage social media positioning of the CEO and other top‑level executives.
• Produce and coordinate multimedia assets (photos, videos, infographics) for internal and external channels.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns in collaboration with Communications Business Partners.
• Maintain relationships with creators, agencies and remote teams, and travel as required.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in digital communications and social media management.
• Ability to analyse audience insights, trends and benchmark performance.
• Strong teamwork, multilingual communication (German and English required; French/Spanish a plus).
