Software Alliances Director

About the role

This senior strategic position is based in Germany and focuses on building high‑impact software alliances that accelerate the adoption of open‑source technologies across enterprise ecosystems. You will work closely with global software vendors, aligning engineering, product, and marketing teams to deliver integrated, market‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute alliance strategies across key accounts, regions, and technology verticals.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with software partners to drive joint product development and integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align roadmaps and open‑source adoption plans.
• Identify partnership opportunities by analyzing technical gaps and market needs.
• Create partner‑facing materials such as reference architectures, white papers, webinars, and technical presentations.
• Lead go‑to‑market execution with internal and external stakeholders to boost open‑source technology adoption.
• Support enablement programs for partner engineering, sales, and delivery teams.
• Represent the organization at strategic partner engagements, industry events, and technical discussions.
• Travel internationally up to 25% to nurture partner relationships.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in business development, product management, or technical alliance leadership within the software or technology sector.
• Strong background in software engineering, system architecture, or cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Proven experience in customer‑facing or partner‑facing roles such as technology strategy, product management, or enterprise business development.
• Solid understanding of open‑source ecosystems, software distribution models, and enterprise adoption strategies.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and partner value propositions.
