Software Developer – Desktop Applications for Chromatography Instruments

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join Tosoh Bioscience’s R&D team in the Frankfurt area. You will work on desktop software that controls liquid chromatography instruments and processes the resulting data, supporting pharmaceutical research and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the existing C# code base for instrument control and data analysis.
• Develop new calculations, features and interfaces for chromatography instruments.
• Participate in architectural decisions as the software platform evolves.
• Conduct software testing and support bug‑fixing activities.
• Collaborate with product management, applications and service teams to deliver user‑centric solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional local language is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and travel up to 10 %.

Required skills

• C# programming language.
• Development of Windows Desktop Applications.
• Object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with databases and/or scientific instruments is a plus.
