Software Developer Simulation (d/f/m)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a passionate Software Developer to advance its Engineering and Training Simulators. You will work on high‑fidelity, distributed real‑time applications that support the full development lifecycle of aircraft simulators.

Key responsibilities

• Design the architecture of software models and components for new simulator functionality.
• Develop simulation models in C++ that represent aircraft equipment and subsystems.
• Create and execute unit tests for simulation modules using C++ and Python.
• Build tools such as code generators to improve development processes.
• Perform integration and acceptance testing of simulator solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software architecture, design and development.
• Strong C++ expertise; experience with other languages or frameworks (Qt/QML, Ada, Python) is a plus.
• English at negotiation level.
• Familiarity with Tornado or Eurofighter Avionics is beneficial.
