Software Development Engineer III – Android Maps SDK

About the role

Mapbox is looking for a Software Development Engineer III to lead the design and implementation of its Android Maps SDK. You will shape architectural direction, drive large‑scale initiatives, and deliver high‑quality features that enable developers to integrate navigation, maps, and search capabilities quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Define and oversee cross‑functional, large‑scale projects across the Maps SDK portfolio.

• Implement enhancements to SDK functionality and developer experience.
• Debug, profile, and optimize performance across platforms.
