Software Engineer – Delphi & Modern Stack

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain a healthcare software product used by pharmacies and prescribers. The role combines work on a legacy Delphi codebase with integration of modern services such as .NET, Express.js, and MSVC components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Delphi‑based applications while ensuring high availability and data quality.
• Design and implement performance and stability improvements, integrating modern services where appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create robust integration paths between Delphi components and web/data services.
• Use AI tools and agents to accelerate refactoring, analysis, and documentation of the existing codebase.
• Contribute to the modernization roadmap, balancing reliable delivery with phased platform evolution.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in Delphi development, preferably on mission‑critical, long‑standing systems.
• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field with strong academic performance.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and integration patterns.
• Fluent in German and English to communicate with domestic and international teams.
