Software Engineer – Embedded Linux (Zwickau)

About the role

Join Raritan, a Legrand Group company, as a Software Engineer in Zwickau. You will work on power‑management and remote‑management solutions for data centers, focusing on embedded Linux development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and implement software for embedded Linux environments.
• Provide unit‑test coverage for all delivered code.
• Contribute to cross‑product software architecture and continuous optimisation of processes and resources.
• Work on kernel, system and application development, web interfaces, microcontroller programming, network programming, and mobile (Android/iOS) applications as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Linux development environments.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and work in an international team.

Required skills

• C++ programming.
• Bash scripting.
• Python programming.
• Web basics: JavaScript, TypeScript and HTML.
• Experience with Linux (embedded) systems.
