Software Engineer – Fullstack SAP & UI5 (Remote, Germany)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Software Engineer to join our Senior Fullstack Engineer team at Serrala. You will own end‑to‑end features of our payment and finance automation platform, working on SAP BTP, RAP models and SAPUI5 Freestyle UI. The role is fully remote within Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and roll out full‑stack features from RAP business objects, CDS models and OData services to UI5 screens.
• Define and document architecture decisions, create proofs of concept and align with product owners.
• Ensure all code follows SAP Clean Core principles and meets performance and quality standards.
• Leverage AI‑based tools for code generation, refactoring, testing and documentation, and raise the team’s AI maturity.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate in small, autonomous product teams in an asynchronous, outcome‑driven environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in ABAP‑OO, OData and REST APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) in both managed and unmanaged scenarios.
• Proven ability to deliver RAP‑based applications to production and justify design choices.
• Fluent English (C1); German is a plus.
