Software Engineer II – Fullstack (AI Testing)

About the role

At Zendesk, the Testing team within AI Agents Advanced builds tools for synthetic testing and quality validation of AI agents. As a Fullstack Engineer you will design and implement backend APIs, event‑driven pipelines and user‑facing interfaces that enable reliable AI‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power synthetic testing and evaluation frameworks.
• Create and document robust REST APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Build event‑driven data workflows and integrate with AWS services.
• Develop user‑facing tools using TypeScript and React, adhering to design‑system standards.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data engineers, analysts, and AI/ML specialists.
• Ensure code quality through testing, performance monitoring, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Contribute to system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building modern web applications with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Strong focus on clean, modular, and well‑tested code.
• Product‑mindset with a passion for delivering excellent user experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
