Software Engineer Low Speed Motion Planning & Control Planning

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer to develop low‑speed motion planning and control modules for autonomous vehicle platforms. You will work closely with customers to translate vehicle dynamics into precise navigation capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement motion‑planning and control algorithms that run on diverse vehicle platforms.
• Characterize customer vehicle dynamics to create tailored control solutions and bridge simulation‑real‑world gaps.
• Research and apply academic advances, including nonlinear Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Model‑Predictive Path Integral (MPPI) control.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and user teams to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience in motion planning, control, or related fields.
• Strong passion for solving challenging autonomous‑driving problems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions.
