Software Engineer - Mapping and Localization

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in mapping and localization to join its fast‑growing autonomy team in Stuttgart. You will help build the core perception stack that enables autonomous vehicles and advanced driver‑assistance systems to understand their environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement mapping and localization solutions for autonomous vehicle and ADAS use cases, both on embedded ECUs and cloud platforms.
• Develop runtime‑efficient in‑vehicle software for automotive system‑on‑chips (SOCs).
• Build and maintain backend infrastructure for storing, processing, and serving maps used in production and machine‑learning training pipelines.
• Create automated pipelines to generate high‑definition maps from raw sensor data, improving internal map‑viewing and editing tools.

Required profile

• Software engineering experience in mapping, localization, or related perception domains for autonomous vehicles or mobile robots.
• Ability to work as an early‑member of a fast‑growing autonomy team and take broad responsibilities.
• Strong interest in building reliable, production‑grade systems for safety‑critical applications.
