About the role
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a highly skilled Software Fullstack Developer & Architect to join its innovative team in Immenstaad. You will design, develop and lead cutting‑edge software solutions for defence and space projects serving German and international customers.
Key responsibilities
- Create scalable and secure software architectures across front‑end, back‑end and database layers.
- Develop user interfaces, robust server‑side logic, APIs and databases, leveraging AI‑enabled SDLC tools.
- Lead development teams, set coding standards and review code for quality and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners and requirements engineers to gather and analyse software requirements, documenting them in Confluence.
- Model software requirements using Cameo Modeling or similar tools.
- Design high‑level architectures, define components, modules and interfaces, and select appropriate technologies and design patterns such as microservices and REST APIs.
- Communicate architectural decisions to developers, testers and other stakeholders.
- Identify technical risks, log them in Jira and work with verification, validation and test teams to ensure testable requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Architect or in a similar role within Agile or systems‑engineering environments.
- Strong background in designing complex, cloud‑based or enterprise applications, preferably in defence or automotive domains.
- Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure, adapt to changing project demands and motivate team members.
