Solution Manager – Connectivity Services

About the role

Space Digital, a key part of Airbus Defence & Space, is looking for a Solution Manager to drive the growth of its connectivity services portfolio in Germany. You will work closely with Portfolio Business Managers, sales, engineering and R&D to shape and deliver market‑leading solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a solution roadmap and portfolio for connectivity services.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the solution portfolio, including business case realization.
• Act as the internal champion for the portfolio, blending business and technical insight with strategic vision.
• Collaborate with customers, product developers, engineering, procurement and sales to ensure market fit.
• Support sales in RFP shaping, requirements definition, and campaign preparation.
• Maximise solution competitiveness and profitability through make/buy/partner decisions.
• Steer R&D allocation and influence early‑stage technology investments.
• Provide internal and external consultancy on domain‑specific topics.
• Represent solutions at exhibitions, conferences and internal workshops.

Required profile

• Strong business and technical understanding of connectivity and satellite services.
• Strategic vision for solution development and market expansion.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external customers.
• Experience in managing solution portfolios and driving profitability.
