Statutory & Fiscal Accountant DACH

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own annual financial statements, balance‑sheet notes, management reporting and GAAP conversions between IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Manage and optimise corporate tax activities in Germany and Switzerland, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, handling findings and follow‑up actions.
• Serve as a primary contact for tax authorities, internal stakeholders, external service providers and Shared Service Centers.
• Oversee accounting processes in collaboration with the accounting service provider.
• Handle operational finance tasks such as statistical reporting, banking, cash pooling and payment processes.
• Support payroll topics together with HR and external providers.
• Assist the DACH Finance Lead on ad‑hoc finance projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Tax or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with strong knowledge of German statutory reporting.
• Solid experience with corporate income tax, VAT and provisions.
• Good understanding of IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Swiss accounting or tax regulations is a plus.
