Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist will strengthen and expand the supplier and subcontractor network for a leading European engineering contractor. Based in Frankfurt, the role supports projects in data centres, pharma, semiconductors, fire protection and ICT/Comms across the DACH region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pre‑qualify suppliers/subcontractors across required trades using internal BI insights and project requests.
• Map supplier ecosystems in Austria and Switzerland to support market expansion.
• Engage directly with potential vendors to validate capabilities, capacity and compliance.
• Use BI dashboards to pinpoint gaps and source vendors for overloaded trades.
• Attend virtual and in‑person supplier meetings, prepare concise reports and share updates with commercial, procurement and project teams.
• Support onboarding of suppliers, ensuring HSQE documentation, commercial forms and compliance are complete.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, supplier forums and industry events throughout the DACH region.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management or supply‑chain roles, preferably in construction, MEP, engineering or mission‑critical sectors.
• Understanding of basic technical concepts such as MEP, CSA scopes, datasheets and specifications.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures, subcontracting workflows and compliance requirements.
• Comfortable using BI tools and structured dashboard insights.
• Willingness to travel across Europe.
• Fluent English; German strongly preferred.
• EU work authorisation.
