System Architect – SE & MBSE Application & V&V Lead

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a System Architect to lead the application of Systems Engineering (SE) and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as well as Verification & Validation (V&V) for its next‑generation VTOL aircraft. Based at the Donauwörth site, you will act as the “Voice of the Field” within the SE transformation project, ensuring that new frameworks are pragmatic, technically sound and adopted by design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Aircraft Architecture community in the SE introduction project and translate field needs into implementable SE decisions.
• Develop and evolve the “Aircraft Architect” job profile, focusing on ARP4754 / ED79B standards.
• Lead the shift from classical aircraft design methods to a robust SE/MBSE approach.
• Act as the leading SE expert for current aircraft programmes, applying and monitoring V&V activities.
• Provide on‑site support and coaching to design teams on SE logic and MBSE tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a system or aircraft architect in the aerospace sector.
• Deep knowledge of SE and MBSE processes, especially ARP4754 and ED79B.
• Strong background in verification and validation of aircraft systems.
• Ability to bridge technical concepts with practical implementation in multidisciplinary teams.
