System Engineer – Cloud Migration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to lead cloud migration projects to Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to assess on‑premises environments, design migration roadmaps, and ensure secure, high‑performance cloud workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Execute migration projects using Azure Migrate, covering rehosting, re‑platforming, and refactoring.
• Assess on‑premises infrastructure for cloud readiness and create tailored migration plans.
• Deploy and manage Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Application Gateways, and enterprise‑scale landing zones.
• Migrate virtual machines, databases, and file shares with minimal downtime and resolve issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Optimize workloads for cost, scalability, and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and auto‑scaling.
• Maintain migration playbooks, runbooks, and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Provide post‑migration support, ensuring security, resilience, and compliance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in system engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of on‑premises technologies such as VMware vCenter, Hyper‑V, Windows & Linux administration, and Active Directory.
• Fluent English communication skills; German is a plus.
