Systems Administrator – USAF LOGNET Team

About the role

Serve as a Systems Administrator on the 521 AMOW LOGNET team, delivering technical support for USAF information systems, ruggedized laptops (eTools), and servers. You will ensure Windows servers, applications, and network components remain secure, compliant, and available to support aircraft sortie generation and maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows servers, SQL databases, and logistics applications; manage backup, recovery, and patching.
• Conduct ACAS vulnerability scans, remediate findings, and maintain DISA STIG baselines.
• Provide end‑user support for eTools, manage imaging, software installation, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Perform WLAN data collection, surveys, and on‑site installations at multiple AMOW locations.
• Track and manage equipment procurement, warranty, and asset inventory.
• Document trouble tickets and provide technical guidance on LOGNET projects.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree + 3 years relevant experience or Associate’s degree + 7 years.
• Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+).

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server and client administration in an Air Force enterprise.
• Experience with ACAS or similar vulnerability scanners and DISA STIG compliance.
• SQL database administration.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP.
• WLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
