Systems Engineer – Eurofighter Training Simulation – Instructor Stations

About the role

Join the Simulation User Interfaces Team in Manching to develop high‑fidelity engineering and training simulations for aircraft. You will design, develop and deliver instructor operator stations for Eurofighter training simulators, ensuring the solution is technically sound, user‑focused and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and translate customer needs into clear system specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Shape the technical roadmap together with system and software engineers, breaking down requirements into tasks and milestones.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing new features, technical improvements and customer feedback.
• Drive the development of high‑performance user interfaces with Qt/QML, ensuring usability and architectural integrity.
• Perform risk‑management activities, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Ensure high‑quality product delivery on time, within agreed budget and scope.
• Manage collaboration with external suppliers and subcontractors, guaranteeing seamless integration.
• Monitor, evaluate and report progress, challenges and customer feedback to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience across the full system‑engineering lifecycle of simulation projects, preferably military flight‑training devices.
• Understanding of military aircraft systems, operational procedures and mission workflows is an advantage.
• Strong background in modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps pipelines, containerisation).
• Excellent English communication skills and experience managing external suppliers.
• Proactive, pragmatic mindset with a passion for simulation.
