Tax Associate – International Mobility (Berlin/Frankfurt/Munich)

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Associate to join our global mobility team. You will support internationally mobile employees and corporate clients with tax compliance, advice and optimisation across Germany and beyond. The role is based in Berlin, Frankfurt or Munich with the possibility to work remotely in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for globally mobile employees.
• Provide tax advice on assignment structures, double tax treaties and tax equalisation.
• Analyse compensation and payroll data to calculate tax liabilities.
• Advise employees on international tax obligations and support them throughout assignments.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, delivering regular updates and ensuring high service quality.
• Support engagement financial management, including invoicing.
• Identify optimisation opportunities and new business prospects within the existing client base.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in international tax or global mobility.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong client orientation and analytical abilities.
• Team spirit and willingness to work in a global environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international tax regulations and double tax treaties.
• Understanding of payroll data analysis for tax calculations.
