Tax Specialist – VAT, Corporate & Transfer Pricing

About the role

J&T Express Germany is building its tax function to support rapid growth across Europe. The Tax Specialist will ensure compliance with VAT, corporate income tax, trade tax, wage tax and transfer pricing requirements, acting as a key liaison with tax advisers, authorities and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT, corporate income tax and trade tax returns for Germany and other European jurisdictions.
• Serve as the primary contact for VAT‑related inquiries and support internal and external tax audits.
• Coordinate with external tax advisers and tax authorities.
• Maintain transfer pricing documentation and assist with related analyses.
• Analyse wage‑tax matters and support flat‑rate tax calculations.
• Monitor tax law changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Continuously improve tax processes and documentation in collaboration with Finance and other departments.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Taxation or related field, or commercial vocational training with a Certified Tax Specialist qualification.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience after a university degree, or 3–5 years after tax‑specific vocational training.
• Practical knowledge of German tax matters (VAT, corporate income tax, trade tax, wage tax).
• Strong analytical mindset, independent work style, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent German and English language skills; Chinese is a plus.
