Teacher of IB MYP Individuals & Societies – Maternity Leave Replacement

About the role

BBIS is seeking an energetic, internationally‑minded teacher to cover a maternity/parental leave. The role involves delivering the IB MYP Individuals & Societies curriculum to students from grade 6 to 12, fostering critical thinking and global awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Teach IB MYP Individuals & Societies, creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Design and develop inquiry‑based, concept‑driven curriculum units.
• Promote diversity by integrating multiple cultural perspectives into lessons.
• Engage students actively in their learning and nurture interest in human societies and environments.
• Support student well‑being and academic growth across a range of abilities and motivations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and contribute to the school community.
• Potentially assist with Theory of Knowledge, Personal Project, Extended Essay, and CAS components.

Required profile

• Valid teaching certification; preferably a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching the IB MYP programme or comparable curricula (AP, A‑Level, IGCSE).
• Outstanding written and spoken English communication skills.
• Commitment to BBIS’s Child Safeguarding Policy and inclusive education.
• Resilient, flexible team player with a growth mindset.

• Competitive salary range €55,059 – €61,885 gross per year, with CPI‑based adjustments.
