Team Specialist – Trade Invoicing Services (Hybrid, Germany)

About the role

As a Team Specialist in Trade Invoicing Services for the EMEA region, you will lead a motivated international team that supports BASF's Accounts Receivable process for outgoing invoices. The role combines operational responsibility, technical SAP expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter leadership for the Trade Invoicing team across EMEA.
• Ensure creation, monitoring and compliance of outgoing customer invoices.
• Support and resolve complex SAP R/3 and SAP S/4 issues, especially within the SD module.
• Act as primary contact for business units, supply chain, IT and other stakeholders on invoicing topics.
• Deliver first‑level support for country‑specific eInvoicing implementations.
• Assist the disciplinary manager with resource planning, employee development and knowledge management.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to increase invoicing efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable, Trade Invoicing or Order‑to‑Cash.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Customer‑focused mindset with openness to change and teamwork.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary €55,000 – €59,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience).
