Technical Engineer – Metal Injection Molding

About the role

Yibi Precision is seeking a Technical Engineer to support Metal Injection Molding (MIM) projects for global industrial and technology‑driven clients. The role bridges engineering, production, quality, tooling and business teams to ensure technical feasibility, sample development, process optimisation and smooth transition to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, technical requirements and specifications for MIM manufacturing feasibility.
• Conduct early‑stage technical evaluation, DFM review, sample development and trial production.
• Collaborate with tooling, production and quality teams to identify risks and optimise manufacturing solutions.
• Track project progress from sample validation through to mass production.
• Facilitate communication between customers and internal engineering teams on technical issues.
• Analyse production issues and support improvements in process stability, product consistency and efficiency.
• Prepare and organise technical documents, process records, sample feedback and project reports.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement activities related to quality, cost, delivery and productivity.

Required profile

• Experience in precision manufacturing, metal components, MIM, CNC machining, powder metallurgy or related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, tolerances and basic manufacturing requirements.
• Familiarity with production processes, sample development, quality control and process improvement.
• Practical problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, quality and business teams.
• Willingness to learn and support MIM processes from evaluation through to mass production.
