Technical Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Remote/Hybrid)

About the role
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead utility‑scale solar PV and battery storage projects across Europe. You will ensure that construction, performance and quality targets are met while coordinating with contractors, lenders and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the construction of PV plants, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
- Validate plant performance, contractor obligations and product guarantees, optimizing output and minimizing risks.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and approve construction punch‑lists.
- Collect and review contractor reports, providing clear progress updates to sponsors and clients.
- Manage product warranties, insurance claims and HSE compliance.
- Implement QA/QC procedures and trigger additional activities when required.
- Coordinate with lenders’ technical advisors and supervise engineering solutions for new plants.
- Evaluate EPC and O&M suppliers from a technical perspective and handle interfaces needed for Commercial Operation Date (COD).
Required profile
- Technical background, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience managing PV projects larger than 1 MWp.
- Proven track record in project execution, tendering and negotiation.
- Fluent in English and German with strong communication skills.
- Ability to solve technical and personnel issues and maintain detailed records.
- Willingness to travel regionally as project locations demand.
