Technical Trainer – Instructor for Wind Service Technicians

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join the GE Vernova Learning Center in Salzbergen. The trainer will deliver technical and safety training to wind service technicians, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and mindset required to operate and maintain on‑shore wind turbines safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑developed theoretical and practical training covering GE Vernova turbine platforms (1.X, 2.X, 3.X, Cypress).
• Facilitate classroom sessions and hands‑on exercises, adapting communication for entry‑level and experienced audiences.
• Guide participants through VR‑based training modules and provide real‑time support.
• Ensure all practical sessions comply with GE Vernova safety standards and that participants use the correct PPE.
• Adapt training pace, provide technical explanations, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and document attendance and progress.
• Collaborate with the training team, coordinate equipment with the Lab Technician, and occasionally travel to wind farms or international sites for field training.

Required profile

• Qualified Elektrofachkraft – certified electrician or electrical engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with GE Vernova on‑shore wind turbines (1.X, 2.X, 3.X, Cypress).
• Strong written and spoken English; German is a strong advantage.
• Formal training, teaching or coaching experience or qualification.
• GWO or equivalent wind‑industry certification; familiarity with VR training tools is a plus.
