Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurial Management

About the role

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) seeks a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurial Management to join its School of Management at the Garching Campus. The position is a six‑year fixed‑term W2 professorship with the prospect of promotion to a tenured W3 chair. The role is embedded in the Entrepreneurship Research Institute and focuses on research and teaching at the intersection of management and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality, internationally recognized research in entrepreneurial management.
• Teach undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses, especially in Management & Technology programmes.
• Secure third‑party research funding and manage research projects.
• Mentor and support early‑career scientists and PhD candidates.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary programmes across TUM schools.

Required profile

• Outstanding doctoral degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated initial scientific achievements and potential for independent research at the highest international level.
• Significant research experience abroad.
• Pedagogical aptitude and experience teaching at university level.
