Tower Design Engineer

About the role

As a Tower Design Engineer you will develop and design components for steel and hybrid towers used in wind turbines. Working in interdisciplinary teams you will shape structural details and safety‑critical parts, contributing to robust, cost‑efficient and safe tower solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design components for steel and hybrid wind turbine towers.
• Create technical requirements, specifications and product documentation.
• Perform calculations and dimensioning for steel, aluminium, welded and formed constructions.
• Collaborate with procurement, quality, service and assembly to define components holistically.
• Model components and generate drawings using NX Unigraphics, maintaining data in Teamcenter 14.
• Review development results from internal and external design engineers and support technical evaluations.
• Contribute to cost‑reduction initiatives, quality analyses and project planning using Microsoft Project.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering, design, manufacturing technology or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in development and design of steel, sheet‑metal or welded constructions.
• Experience creating technical documentation and applying development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of NX Unigraphics and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage.
• Independent, structured and team‑oriented working style.
• Fluent in English; Spanish and/or German are a plus.
